Club Elections

In May, Intergraph Toastmasters elects annual officers serving from July 1st through June 30th of the following year. (Clubs that meet weekly may alternately have 6 month officer terms.)

Before March 31st a nominating committee headed by the Immediate Past President (or the most recent Past President available) should be organized. IPP surveys membership and recruits officers first asking incumbent for suggestions.

The Nominating Committee should give a progress report to the club on the last meeting in April.

At the first meeting in May, the final Nominating Committee report is given to the club of all valid and accepted nominations. A call for formal nominations is made from the floor. The membership will normally choose to nominate the persons identified by the IPP/Nominating committee.

Nominations begin with the President and proceed in descending order - VP-Ed, VP-Mem, VP-PR, Secretary, Treasurer, Sgt at Arms. The IPP places those nominated on the ballot which is E-mailed to the membership for a vote.

A quorum of 51% is needed to conduct business - therefore a quorum of the club must vote. Members must be active to vote.

Current President sends club information update to TM INTL by June 30th.

New officers are inducted and trained during the last meeting in June and officially take office July 1st.
