  1. Marketing God, (The Lord is Good)
  2. Introduction:

Lot of folks around these parts will tell you that they know the Good Lord, but not many will tell you that they know that the Lord is Good! I’m here to tell you that the Lord is Good, and I’m going to show you that today.

Some religions have a big deity, but have smaller household gods that they confide in on a more personal basis. I want you to know Jehovah personally, not just to be a God for our nation, but to be your personal God.

For you to know God, you must know his character and not that which you might have been told about God. God is for us, and is pulling for us to be victorious and to be overcomers. Jeremiah 29:11-12. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
    1. God is not Mad at us, & God Accepts us.
      1. Genesis 9:13-17 "I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. "It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; "and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. "The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth." And God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth."
      2. Isaiah 54:9. "For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. So every time you see a Rainbow in the sky, think of that as God saying, I am not mad at you, nor will I rebuke you.
      3. We are accepted by God. Ephesians 1:6. "to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.
    2. God Loves us, and desires the best for us.
      1. Love is an action.
      2. God did something to show his love for us.
        1. Romans 5:8. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
        2. 1 John 4:9. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
        3. John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
    3. God will never leave us or forsake us, (Hebrews 13:5)
      1. Like Simba in "The Lion King", we cry out to God in the same way that Simba cried out to his Father after the Father’s death, saying, "Father, you said that you’d always be there for me, but you’re not; and it’s all my fault". But, it turned out that Simba’s Father had not left Simba, and was not mad at him at all, and it was not Simba’s fault. Simba had believed the lie.
      2. God is with us.
        1. Joshua 1:9. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
        2. Deuteronomy 31:6, 8. "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.". "And the Lord, He is the one who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed."
      3. If God so loved us that he sent his son to die in our place, then is God going to stop loving us if we mess up? That would make his son’s death of no value. God loves us. Do we stop loving our children because they do dumb stuff?
    4. How can one have a personal relationship with God?
      1. You must receive God’s Son into your life.
        1. Romans 10:9-10. "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
        2. and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
        3. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
      2. It’s a two-step process.
        1. Step number two is to believe that God rose Jesus from the Dead.
        2. And most importantly, is step number one, to ask Jesus to be the Lord in your life.
      3. Acts 2:21. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’
      4. If you want God to be your father today, please show an outward sign by raising your hand.
